Iraqi Councilman Kills 2 US Soldiers, Wounds 4

Tue Jun 24, 2008 at 09:01:01 AM PDT

I was just over on HuffPost and saw an article that showed just how bad the situation really is over in Iraq, and how far the US is away from 'victory', militarily, politically, everything-lly.

Happy Father's Day Mom

Sun Jun 15, 2008 at 12:32:47 PM PDT

I, along with millions of other children in North America and around the world, grew up in a single parent household.

My parents divorced when I was 7 and me and my mother moved across the country from Southern Ontario to the Vancouver area.

I was, and remain to be, an only child, so it was a big change.

Well, We Can Rule Out Strickland For VP

Tue Jun 10, 2008 at 11:23:24 PM PDT

Ted Strickland,, while apparently on Obama's short list for VP, doesn't want the job.

He had an interview with National Public Radio where he said the following :

"Absolutely not. If drafted I will not run, nominated I will not accept, and if elected I will not serve."

I'd say that's fairly straightforward, but as he is a Clinton supporter, the question begs, is it bitterness?

I don't think so, and I'll tell you why after the jump.

Hillaryis44.com Has Gone Off the Deep End

Sun Jun 08, 2008 at 02:20:04 PM PDT

I thought it would be an educating trip to look over at the extreme Hillary camp after her concession speech yesterday, and see their viewpoint on the general election going forward.

The main extreme pro-Hillary, anti-Obama site has got to be Hillaryis44.com, especially after mydd.com has united behind the choice of the Democratic Party, as they are, in the end, Democrats. The Hillaryis44 people  have been saying they were going to not only vote for McCain but try in an extremely proactive way to disrupt and derail the Obama campaign in the name of Hillary.

But now that Hillary has stepped aside, and endorsed their most hated foe, the Hillaryis44 people have gone down a different, far more disturbing track. Follow over the jump...

CNN's Bill Schneider : Obama Too 'Exotic' For Kentucky Voters

Tue May 20, 2008 at 11:05:39 PM PDT

He just said this live on the air, in between shiny clips of Hillary's 'victory' speech on the night Obama clinched a majority of delegates.

CNN's John King Insinuates Voter Fraud in Indiana

Tue May 06, 2008 at 09:01:45 PM PDT

I'm watching CNN's live results here for the Indiana vote, and John King and Wolf Blitzer are stating live on the air that the results in northwestern Indiana, where Obama just jumped out to a huge lead with 30% of the county reporting, is questionable because it took them so long to report results.

Al Sharpton is for Obama

Tue Apr 29, 2008 at 10:45:58 PM PDT

I don't know if this is old news or not, and if it is, I'm sure I'll get assaulted in the comments, but I was flipping through the channels and caught a round table on Obama's press conference today with that ageless gremlin Larry King.

After the talking heads finished debating whether Wright would dog Obama going forward (Shockingly it turns out it will, and from CNN of all places, I'm stunned), Sharpton came on, and praised Obama for his leadership and honesty on a subject that is obviously personal and hurtful to him. He then went on to bring up Hagee and attack the bias of the coverage in not reporting on stories like HIS sermons.

Someone Want to Explain This To Me?

Wed Apr 23, 2008 at 08:29:32 AM PDT

The blow that would have knocked Hillary clear out of this race missed again last night.

It happened after Iowa, it happened in Texas and Ohio, and it happened in Pennsylvania.

A big media blitz, a bunch of Hillary's faux-populist down-to-earth BS, a slanty debate, and she's got new life.

McCain-Clinton '08 - The New Dream Ticket

Mon Apr 14, 2008 at 08:43:28 PM PDT

With all the talk of a Dream Ticket on the Democratic side dying away, as it should, my mind got to wandering about another match made in heaven that seems to be emerging.

No, not Gore-Obama, I'm talking about John McCain and Hillary Clinton.

Blasphemy, you say?

Well, yes, but as they have been coordinating their messages lately, it almost seems like Obama is running against a McCain-Clinton ticket right now.

Points to hit in Wednesday's Debate

Sun Apr 13, 2008 at 10:31:17 AM PDT

There is a Presidential debate coming up on Wednesday, in Pennsylvania.

We have all seen the rather funny lines of HRC and McCain this week calling Obama 'elitist' and 'out of touch'. Obama has retreated a bit, and the majority of the media I have seen, (even CNN!) were basically laughing at people who a) made over $100 million in the last 7 years and b) married into a nine-figure beer fortune, calling a man who just paid off his student loans a few years ago 'elitist'.

Dead issue? Not if Hillary has anything to say about it.

So it might be time to being up some other issues that HRC & Co. have tried to deaden.
